This is a really enjoyable set. There are a multitude of influences that result in a really unique and warm blend. A little soul, a little blues, a little R&B, a little indie, all with a little lip sneer. Recommended.
Favorite track: Cardinal Cross.

This album is dedicated to anyone who has ever felt the cold shadows of oppression or discrimination; to the misfits, the outcasts, the loners, the misunderstood, the underdogs; to the activists who devote their lives fighting for social justice; to the artists who exist to create and create to exist, even when the fruits of their labor are threatened; to the animals of the world who teach us unconditional love; to the healers and counselors who follow our pain and show us how to heal; to the community leaders who seek not to divide us, but to unite us in compassion and humanity; to those who pursue the expansion of mind and emotion; to the cosmos and to the magic; to the seekers.
Thank you: Merge Records, Alyson West / Ravenhouse, Shawn Nolan, Andrew Morgan / Billions, Bank Robber, Terry Lonergan, Nick Petersen, Brian Paulson, James Plotkin, Mark Nevers, Missy Thangs, James Wallace, Lee Waters, Joe Westerlund, David Kovach, the talented players and engineers who helped execute the vision of this album, our families, our friends, our loves, our dogs.
For Heather McEntire (of post-punk veterans Bellafea) & Jenks Miller (of heavy-psych/metal outfit Horseback) Mount Moriah is an outlet for a mutual interest in classic American folk & rock music. They live and create in North Carolina.
Honestly, I didnt think I could love an album of yours more than Lionheart, and it has happened. Sending love from Western Australia where i have regularly played your songs on RTRFM 92.1 xx libby_noble_
